About Us

Welcome to 54th Street Elementary School. We are a hidden jewel in the West region of LAUSD with a history of educating amazing students in the View Park community of Los Angeles since 1895. We moved into our current building in 1927.  In 2009, we were recognized as a CA Distinguished School, and we are still a pillar for academic excellence. We have and have had many brilliant principals and teachers walk our halls with one goal in mind: to prepare our students for success after elementary school. Our current and former students have a wide range of talents, and our alumni are prominent in their respective industries. A few have even come back to be a part of our staff, thus helping us to continue to build on the strong legacy established before them. Come see what we are all about!!!
